NAPOLI, PALAZZO VENEZIA: ETHOS DUO FOR THE “LAZZARO AWARD” – 6 JULY 2022

Wednesday 6 July 2022 (free admission from 6.00 pm) the ceremony for the Lazzaro Verace 2022 Prize is scheduled at Palazzo Venezia, in Naples (via Benedetto Croce, 19).

The winner of the 2021 edition, Prof. Gennaro De Crescenzo, will deliver the 2022 LAZZARO Prize.

The Lazzaro Prize is awarded to the one or one who supports with work and / or by making public and private institutional structures available and / or works personally for the protection of Neapolitan culture.

The certificates of LAZZARA / O VERACE will also be awarded to all participants in the Neapolitan courses (basic, advanced and Neapolitan Baroque literature) in the “2021/22 session”.

Some poems of the “Nazario Napoli Bruno” Poetry Competition will also be declaimed, the winners announced and awarded by the jurors.

Ethos Duo (Tiziana Savarese on guitar and Dora Statunato on mandolin) participates in the event in Napoli town with the performance of some musical pieces.

Also foreseen will be the intervention of the soprano Francesca Curti Giardina with Maestro Nicola Campanile.

The participation of the Casa del Mandolino Napoletano and Giuseppe Luongo’s Azienda AgriVinicola Cavasete is also expected.

NAPLES AND PALAZZO VENEZIA

Palazzo Venezia is a historic palace in Naples located along the lower decumanus. The palace is the historical testimony of a set of political and economic relations, which lasted over 400 years, between the then Republic of Venice and the Kingdom of Naples.

Of particular interest is the hanging garden with the Pompeian house (Casina Pompeiana) on the first floor, a construction added in the neoclassical period.
